In Cornwall, Ct., was born Levi Allen, brother of Ethan, "by his own acknowledgment a very obstinate and wayward boy," the only tory in the family for which his large landed estate in Vermont, on complaint of his brother Ethan and Ira, was confiscated and sold.  He lived afterwards in Canada and England but finally returned to Burlington where he died in 1801, though he called himself a citizen of the world.
