The Champlain Valley borders America's 6th
largest freshwater lake- Lake Champlain.
It is located in the United States of America on the northeast border of New York,
northwest border of Vermont and southern border of Quebec, Canada.
This site began in September of 1998.
Documenting our past is an on-going process, one that we invite you to contribute to.
Please send us any historical facts, with their source,
via our e-mail link at the bottom of the page.
Our goal is to build an accessible history of the Champlain Valley.
The source for many of the events from the
years 1600-1909 came from the book,
"300 Years In The Champlain Valley", written by Mrs.
George F. Tuttle and published in 1909 by the Saranac, NY Chapter of the Daughters of the
American Revolution.
