Sylvia was born in the en route to the United States on March 18,1907 travelling from the British West Indies. Sylvia was the only child of from the family Greaves.
John Carlin was born on Dec. 9,1902 in Dumbarton, Scotland. His mothers name was Jane Carlin (Longmuir) and his fathers name was John McLaren Carlin.
He came to America in 1926. John earned his citizenship at age 36, on January 16, 1939.
He moved to Schenectady, NY were he worked at General Electric.
John and Sylvia were married on September 14,1929 and lived on Chestnut St. in Schenectady.
ln 1968 they retired and moved to West Palm Beach Florida.
John and Sylvia had two children Stuart Longmuir and Sylvia Ellen.
Sylvia presently lives in West Palm Beach Florida .
John passed away in 1997, he was 94 years old.
